Trunk or Treat — Safe Halloween Fun for Families
Every fall, the Sheriff's Office hosts Trunk or Treat: a free, family-friendly Halloween night with candy, games, our K-9 mascot, and a close-up look at the vehicles and equipment that keep our county safe. It's one of our favorite evenings of the year — a chance to celebrate with the families we're proud to serve.
Community Outreach — Put a Cuff on Cancer
Each October, our deputies and staff go pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Through our "Put a Cuff on Cancer" campaign, the Barbour County Sheriff's Office stands with survivors, remembers those we've lost, and helps raise awareness across the county. Serving our neighbors means showing up for them — on duty and off.
Youth Events — A Firsthand Look at Justice
We believe in investing in the next generation. Through courthouse visits and hands-on programs, local students step inside the justice system — from the courtroom to the jury box — to see how it works and to build trust with the officers who serve them. It's education, mentorship, and connection all at once.
