Inmate Visitation
The Barbour County Jail offers remote video visits through Pay Tel’s Let’s Visit! system, so you can see and speak with your incarcerated loved one from your own phone, tablet, or computer. Visits can be scheduled for the same day or in advance. Getting set up takes three steps.
Step 1 — Create your account.
Download the free Pay Tel Connect app from the App Store or Google Play, or go to paytelconnect.com, and create your account.
Step 2 — Get approved as a contact.
Before you can visit, your loved one must add you as a contact from inside the facility using inteleVISIT. You’ll then receive a text message with a link to finish setting up your contact profile. Once the facility approves you, you’re ready to visit. (You can check your approval status anytime in the Pay Tel Connect app under inteleVISIT → Account.)
Step 3 — Schedule your visit.
After you’re approved, there are two easy ways to schedule: book the visit yourself in the Pay Tel Connect app, or have your loved one send you a visit request.

Money on the Books & Commissary
Families and friends can deposit money into an incarcerated person’s account and help them order what they need through Inmate Canteen. Funds can be used for commissary items and communication services.
Add money online.
Go to team3.inmatecanteen.com to set up a free account and deposit funds. You can also add money in person at the Inmate Canteen kiosk in the Sheriff’s Office lobby. Accepted cards: Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
Deposit limits.
Kiosk transactions are limited to $150 per transaction, with a total of $500 per 30-day period, including service fees.
Ordering items.
The jail no longer accepts clothing or personal items brought from outside. Everything your loved one needs can be ordered for them through Kimbles.

Personal Inmate Mail
The Barbour County Jail uses a mail scanning service for all non-legal inmate mail. Letters and cards are scanned, and your loved one views them on the facility tablets rather than receiving the physical paper.

Address all personal (non-legal) mail exactly as follows:
